Croatia has been appointed host nation of UEFA Futsal Euro 2012 with matches to be held at the 15,200-capacity Zagreb Arena and the 10,931-seater Spaladium Arena in Split.

EURO 2012 fixtures drawn in Tel Aviv

A draw has determined the fixture schedule for Latvian national football team in the UEFA EURO 2012 qualifying group F. A draw took place in the Israeli city of Tel Aviv on Thursday, March 25th during the UEFA Congress activities.
Aleksandrs Starkovs side will host Croatia in the opening match of the new qualifying campaign on September 3th in Riga, while second match of the tournament will be played in Malta four days later.

Friendly match: Latvian team draw 1:1 in Angola

Latvian National team played a friendly game against African team on March 03 in Malaga. Angola definitely is the most exotic destination for the Latvian team in their history. Only a trip to Honduras at the end of 2009 can maybe make a challenge to the exotic African country. Although the trip to the last African Cup of Nations host country for Aleksandr Starkovs' team was a long one (24 hour flight via Paris and Lisbon). At least the result of the game was positive – 1:1 draw in the end.
