Baltic states top referees Conference in Riga (+Foto)

Top football referees from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia visited a Baltic States referees Methodical Conference in Riga Olympic Sports Centre on Saturday, January 30th with a lecturer from Northern Ireland Mr. Alan Snoddy, currently UEFA Referee Observer, a Mentor in the UEFA Referee Taklent programme, and a member of the UEFA Referee Conventional Panel.

Latvian National team lost to South Korea 0:1 in a friendly match that was held in Spanish town Malaga on Friday, January 22th. The only goal was scored by Korea team player Kim Jo Sung on 56th minute of the game.

Janis Skredelis receives presidential award

Head of the Latvian Football federation Competition department and famous football club "Daugava Riga" ex-manager Janis Skredelis celebrated his 70th birthday on 29 December 2009 and shortly before that received Latvian presidential award from President of Latvia Valdis Zatlers.
