UEFA Europa League Final ticket sales launch
24.02.10 Tickets for 2010 Hamburg final go on sale on 24 February UEFA has announced that the ticket sales for the UEFA Europa League Final 2010, to be played at the Hamburg Arena on 12 May at 20.45 local time, have gone on sale today at 12.00 CET for people living outside Germany exclusively via Europe’s football website uefa.com.

Latvia drawn in group F in UEFA 2012 qualifying
09.02.10 Latvian national football team must get past Croatia, Greece, Israel, Georgia and Malta to go to final tournament in Poland and Ukraine after Sunday's UEFA EURO 2012 qualifying draw in Warsaw. The new European championship qualifying campaign starts in September, 2010.

100 days to go until UEFA’s celebration of grassroots football on 19 May
09.02.10 As approved by the UEFA Executive Committee last May in Bucharest, UEFA has declared Wednesday 19 May 2010 as UEFA Grassroots Day. The aim is to celebrate and recognise grassroots football programmes and activities throughout Europe during the week leading up to the UEFA Champions League final in Madrid – the first time that the European club competition final will be played on a Saturday.

08.02.10 Latvian National Team head coach Aleksandrs Starkovs with LFF general sponsor Nordea bank has started his youth football talent agency. Each month he gathers 20 most talented football players aged 12-16 from all around Latvia and in surveillance of former National Team players talks to them, trains them – gives National football team feeling and therefore motivation to achieve the most.

LMT Virsliga: 10 teams in 3 rounds
05.02.10 Latvian LMT Virsliga 2010 will start at the beginning of April with ten competing teams in three rounds, therefore granting 27 matches for each team, Latvian Football Federation (LFF) has decided. “However, we’re still searching for the most suitable calendar for our clubs and National Team,” says Janis Skredelis, Head of Competitions Department. First and opening matches depending on weather might be played inside at the Olympic Sports Center Riga – headquarters of LFF.
