The board of the Latvian Football Federation (LFF) has decided to exclude Latvian club FC Dinaburg from the "LMT Highier league" championship after an investigation into alleged match-fixing related to betting.
Receipt of evidence Latvian Football federation admits that it had taken the step following, among other things, the receipt of evidence from UEFA and other organisations. The LFF was given information through UEFA's Fraud Detection System with regard to domestic league matches with suspicious betting patterns. European football's governing body has been providing these services to its member associations since July this year. The LFF board has awarded 3-0 wins to Dinaburg's opponents for the remainder of this season's matches, and has decided to disqualify the club's president Oļegs Gavrilovs and head coach Tamaz Pertia from all future LFF activities.
