Latvian U19 Youth national team this week will participate in the UEFA European championship qualifying Elite Round Group 5 tournament in Caen, France. Latvia will play against Romania, homeside France and Norway for a place in the final tournament.
In the Elite round 28 European teams compete in seven mini-tournament groups of four. The group winners then join the hosts Ukraine in the finals in July, where finalists are split into two groups of four, with the top two progressing to the semi-finals and ultimately the final.
