Latvian national team and "FK Ventspils" goalkeeper Andris Vanins successfully played at the legendary stadium "San Siro". The best goalkeeper of Latvia in 2008 participated in the charitable friendly match within the framework of the campaign "Goal for peace", in which the team of world ambassadors played versus the national team of Iraq.
Andris Vanins played in the second half leaving his goal locked and safe, and his team led by the famous Carlo Ancelotti and Hosep Guardiola won by 2:1.
The charitable eveneing in Milan was full of interesting events. The children teams of "Milan" and "Inter" also played at "San Siro" stadium. The veterans of "Milan" and "Inter" played a friendly versus the world veterans team. The money of the charity will be used for the construction of the children homes in Baghdad (Iraq), Abidjan (Cote dilvoire) and Bogota (Columbia).
The campaign "Goal for peace" was supported by such world football stars as Ronaldinho, Leo Messi, Andrey Shevchenko, Carlos Tevez, Gianluca Zambrotta and many others.
