TrioBet Baltic league season 2009/10 has been unveiled in Latvian capital Riga with the draw of the Round of last 16.
16 teams - 6 from Lithuania, whose representative won the tournament last season, and 5 each from Estonia and Latvia – were seeded for the draw to four pools according to their results last season. 1st pool with three national champions was paired with the 4th pool, who had four newcomers, while 2nd pool teams were paired up with the 3rd pool.
Teams from the same country could not be drawn against each other in the first round of the competition, and teams from 3rd and 4th pool will play the first leg at home.
The third edition of the tournament will commence on the 22nd of September. The final will be held on the 4th of July with the venue still unconfirmed.
