  Latvia hold Estonia in friendly (+video)

Latvia held neighbours Estonia to a draw (1:1) in friendly match in Tallinn. Tarmo Kink shot Estonia in front early in the second half but 16 minutes from time Kristaps Grebis headed an equaliser to open his international account. This was captain Vitālijs Astefjevs 150th game for national team.

Latvian National team next friendly match will be against neighbour Estonia on Wednesday, November 12th in "A le Coq" stadium in Tallinn. Both teams already played each other this season during Baltic Cup tournament, when Aleksandrs Starkovs side beat Estonia in Riga 1:0.

  Baltic Futsal Cup makes it's debut in Ogre

The first ever Baltic Futsal Cup between Latvian, Lithuanian and Estonian national men futsal teams will be held in Ogre from December 26-28. Latvia will meet Estonia in a opening match of the tournament that makes it's debut and hope to become a tradition in the future.

Latvian women football championship 2008 is over in mid-November with Skonto FC/Ceriba - 46 High School on the top of the table. Two matches before the end of the season girls had collected 58 scored goals and lost just one throughout the year, which is remarkable record of all times in Latvia. Silver went to SK Imanta/FK Riga players and Saldus FK Lutrini stayed third. The best player of the championship was announced – it is Oksana Fetlistova-Zandere from the winning team.
