Latvian champion FK Ventspils have booked it's ticket to UEFA Champions League second qualifying round where they will Norwegian side SK Brann Bergen.
In the first qualifying Ventspils had lost the first leg match away to Welsh side Llanelli AFC 0:1, but were dominant in the return game in Ventspils (4:0). Jevgenijs Kosmačovs made it 1:1 on aggregate after 28 minutes and Vits Rimkus took the Latvians ahead just 2 minutes later. Andrejs Butriks scored the third for Ventspils on 69th minute and Rimkus added his second after 78 minutes to wrap it up 4:1 on aggregate.
Brann will take on FK Ventspils in the first match of the second leg at their home stadium on Tuesday, July 29th. But second match will be played in Ventspils Olympic stadium seven days later - on August 5th.
