TrioBet Baltic League organizers have made the first issue of electronical "E-magazine" available at www.balticleague.com. From now on the e-magazine will be issued each month and filled with photos, videos and also audio materials besides short interviews and overviews of the latest developments in the Triobet Baltic League.

FK "Riga" starts UEFA Intertoto Cup season on Saturday

Last season's third place holder in LMT Virslīga championship FK "Rīga" takes on "Fylkir" from Iceland in the UEFA Intertoto Cup last seasons first round first match. Match will be held in city of Liepāja (not in Riga) on Saturday, June 21. Countdown begins @ 18:00 (local time).

Latvian U-17 team in Moldova (June 17 - 21)

Latvian U-17 team (players born in 1992) from June 17.-21. will participate in "Moldova FA" football tournament. Latvia will compete against Moldova U-17 first and second team, as well as Azerbaijan U-17 squad. On Saturday, June 21 matches for final places will be played.

Daugavpils FC Daugava - Latvian Cup champions 2008

"FC Daugava" club from Daugavpils took 2008 Latvian Cup title after beating champions and previous Cup holders FK "Ventspils" on penalties 3:0 after 90 minutes and OT finished 1:1 in Skonto stadium. "FC Daugava" became champions for the first time in club's history, but for team manager Mihails Zemļinskis it was the first big title as a coach after he won title last as a "Skonto FC" player in 2002. After this historical victory, "FC Daugava" will play in next season's UEFA Cup.

Latvian National team - Baltic Cup champions 2008

After win over Lithuania (2:1) in Skonto stadium, Latvian National team became Baltic Cup champions in 2008. Latvian team beat Estonia 1:0 two days earlier after Juris Laizāns penalty. Aleksandr Starkovs team got 2:0 lead after Andrejs Perepļotkins goal and Lithuanian player own header. Ričardas Beņiušis strike made it 2:1 at the end of the match.
