Latvian Football federation has signed an agreement with Netherlands coach Antoon Joore who is taking over Latvian national U-21 football team from Mihails Zemļinskis who was dismissed after team's weak performance in UEFA European championship qualifying tournament. A.Joore will be a supervisor of all Latvian Youth teams as well and now is looking forward to improve the work of whole football education system and attitude of young players and coaches.

Latvian Football Federation (LFF) has reached an agreement with current national team head coach Aleksandrs Starkovs of co-operation continued until the end of 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying tournament with the option to extend the contract to the next qualifying cycle, announced LFF General Secretary Jānis Mežeckis.

In preparation for the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualification tournament that will start in September 2012, Latvian national football team will play a number of friendly matches next spring and summer, approved LFF general secretary Mr Jānis Mežeckis.
LFF reached an official agreement with the Kazakhstan Football Union about both countries' national teams meeting in a friendly game at FIFA international match date - February 29. This game will take place in the Turkish resort of Antalya, thus becoming the Latvian national team first official game in 2012.
